what’s your settings for your camera for that shot that you took?..thanks :-)
Very nice & cool way of teaching. Thanks a million for being so generous
i would go with sb900’s
Both types are available.
Do the head and pack things have to be plug up to the wall or can you just take those outside and shoot?
I’m looking to open a home photo studio next year. My main question thus far is do I need something like a Nikon SB600 Speedlight in order to take decent portraits? Or will the lights I’ll be using - two 650 watt lights with barndoors - be enough. Thanks in advance to any responses.
What a generous guy, great advice!
wow this is just like an one on one lesson,
learned a lot, thanks for being so generous.
EP-O was a great vid.. It allowed me some great images with that setup… Nvr tried it before.. they came out great… Thanks…

Simplifying the technique for newbies obviously will have this kind of effect on the photos. The tutorials require your own personal artistic input for real world applications.
I agree with one comment–the info is super good stuff….but, the photos are very bland and non inspiring. Still, I’ve learned a LOT from watching the series. We could use a little less hand gesturing, btw. I know, I know, it’s the way things are done in video.
GREAT VIDS!
Very informative videos :-)
*sniff* sniff* thank you!!! wooohhh learned a lot!
Good job. I referred a photographer to this site. I have taken studio lighting 5 years ago and learned a lot. But I like the way that you break things down. Fine job.

you better believe it! :)
You smell like a Strobist…! :)
While this lighting setup is well over 4 digits in $price, most of this could be done with a few SB-26s ($120 or so on ebay). Just sayin, the equipment is between the ears.
You are just beyond awesome.
Thanks for all the videos.
wow sweet story man.
