Digital Photography - Photographing Outdoor Sports Part 1

If you have ever photographed outdoor sports during the day you know its one of the easier things to do. Its easier because there is plenty of light so you don’t have to worry about digital noise or having a faster lens. Are you setting the camera or are you leaving it in auto or that sports mode? Part 1 of this series will take you through the first few steps of getting out of auto and explain how you can set your camera. I will touch on how you can set your ISO as well as explaining aperture priority mode. Stay tuned for Part 2

@JaredPolin Oh right cool thanks.

@Kentonuk I will, it is on the list.

Could you do a vid on how to achieve a blurred background such as cars while your subject remains in focus?.

Thanks for the great tips jared! Love the opening of the video :D I love how you put the extra effort into your videos. Thats what makes them so great.

@JaredPolin Yup, I live in Multan,Pakistan. I always wanted to do street photography but in my area people are very shy when it comes to photography.

@JaredPolin Yea actually its awesome doesn’t look fishy at all

@mahamza86 are you living in Pakistan?

@dombower ive thought about kicking the teddy bear lol but i like them so much. I have some good stuff up my sleeve right now.

@Bader88 This was the 16mm fish eye 2.8 nikon lens. I think it really worked out well.

I heard recently on the news that baseball was invented in England many moons ago :)

Another great video Fro!

Cheers!!

What lens did you use in this video Jared ? 14-24mm i’m guessing

Yay, Nice tip JP, Cricket is same for kids and adults, only that in Pakistan because kids can’t handle the heavy bats and hard balls, they use lighter bats with taped tennis balls, cuz they are a lot lighter.
Sadly all the playgrounds in my area have been captured by corrupt government and sold to people, so sports are kinda gone here.
Nice video once again

kids play cricket but its not different from adult cricket. most schools teach football, and rugby and hockey during the winter, cricket and tennis and athletics during the summer. would have loved if you took the teddy to the back of the field and kicked it really hard and it landed in front of the camera! that would be an awesome start!

awesome !! nice home run
