How on earth can we possibly answer that when we know NOTHING about the school or even how long the class/course is?
How about asking the school?
What you should learn are the basic iso, shutter and aperture. Something else you should know is the zone system and how to use it.
The zone system is critical as it tells you how to meter something and place highlights and shadows.
If you learn the zone system, you’ll never have to worry if your shot is not exposed correctly.
You’ll have to get your student handbook out and see what the curriculum covers. Too many schools have just Mickey Mouse courses. With the economy what it is , there are a lot of curriculum cuts.
Major in Graphis Arts and Minor in photography. It’s a more marketable field and it opens te door to photography.
